Revision - the Art of Recycling and the Sculptures' Society of BC hosted a pop-up art sale in the Bentall Centre, Downtown Vancouver, BC. The sale showcased artists from both societies and included a broad range of genres such as classic, folk, steampunk, pop art, stone carvings, recycled metal creations, bronzes, and paintings at affordable prices.
2019
ReVision 2019 at the Deer Lake Gallery included plastic recycling workshops by Lori Goldberg and a “Found Sound” Drum circle with found objects Abby Greene Bull. A Trash Fashion Show and Bad Art Sale were featured at the windup party October 16, 2019. Trash Fashion designers were Tam Harrington, Janet Lee, Lorraine Kwan, Zoe Zizlak Wade Shapley and Genette Mujar. Artists exhibiting in the art show were Bill Thomson, Ron Simmer, David Dumbrell, Ron Holzman, Marcia Pitch, Lori Goldberg, Graham Schodda,, Jan de Beer and Valerie Arntzen.
2018
Participating artists for the inside exhibition were: Louise Weir, Yorke Graham, Suzy Birstein, Graham Schodda, Ben Lee, Darcy Davis, Marcia Schultz and Deirdre Pinnock. Mark Hamilton, a professional architect, had three steel pieces displayed on the outside wooden walkways on the Creekhouse complex called “Primacy of the Ear”, “Resonant Frequency” and “Unplugged”. Ron Simmer showed the sculptures - “What the Nose Knows” in front of the chocolate shop, the “Berzerkatroid Dragon” opposite the Sandbar restaurant, the “Happy Dancer” on the Sandbar upper walkway, the “Red Rocking Dog” on the East walkway, the “Hot Metal Flowers” on the False Creek walkway facing the market and finally the two colourful “Big Birds” in the Sandbar plaza.
